A graduate of Purdue University, Katie began her career as an educator, teaching for eight years before following her passion for real estate. She became a licensed Florida Realtor® in 2016 and went on to launch Phelps Realty Group in 2018.

Katie was excellent though our first home buying experience. My husband met her at an open house and asked her to be our agent as we weren’t getting the best experience from another recommendation. She lined up 6 back to back showings for us last minute and graciously returned to our now home 3 times as we made our final decision. I found Katie through Homes for Heroes and am very glad she was recommended. I was moving to the area from out of state and Katie was invaluable. She helped not only with dealing with my last minute trips to see lots of houses but also recommended a great group for financing. In the end I bought a house that I never was able to come visit in person but I didn't feel the least bit stressed since Katie had done walk-throughs, tours of the neighborhood, and went to check on every question I had. Great working with Katie! We found our house in less than a month. Katie was on top of all of the showings, paperwork, and talked us through the entire process. Even when pieces of the closing were difficult to do with a quick turn around (due to the seller), Katie was able to help us navigate through the process easily. Katie helped us with our very first home purchase. At first we were very nervous and had no idea what we were doing. Katie met with us and answered EVERY question we had. She is extremely helpful and I would suggest using her if you’re doing a VA Loan. The Homes for Heroes Program is amazing! I had never heard of it until Katie told us! Katie also helped every step of the way to reach out to the seller, loan officer, lender and title company. We would have seriously been lost if it wasn’t for Katie!
